"The 2006 Big Papa Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from some of the oldest parcels of Cabernet in the state (Kiona, Sagemoor, and Ciel du Cheval vineyards). It was aged in 90% new French oak for 20 months. Dark ruby/purple in color, the nose delivers aromas of pain grille, spice box (oregano in particular), pencil lead, violets, cassis, and black currant. On the palate, it reveals a stylish, elegant personality with excellent depth and balance. It has enough structure to evolve for 3-4 years and will drink well for at least a decade."
