The Story Behind Final Final
The journey of Final Final Red Blend began in 2005 during one of our legendary blending sessions. Picture a group of passionate winemakers and enthusiasts gathered around a table, glasses in hand, debating the perfect combination of flavors, aromas, and textures. As bottles emptied and conversation flowed, the quest for the perfect blend took center stage.
Eventually, someone raised a glass to what they called the “final-final”—the blend that surpassed all expectations. That moment of celebration marked the birth of what would become our flagship wine: Final Final Red Blend.
The Wine
The 2020 Final Final Red Blend is a carefully crafted 70/30 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Both varietals are pressed and fermented separately for a full year before being combined to create the final wine. Our minimalist approach to winemaking—avoiding filtration and fining—allows the true character of the fruit to shine through, resulting in a wine that’s both complex and approachable.
The grapes are sourced from some of the finest vineyards in the Columbia Valley AVA, including our very own Taylor Mag Estate Vineyard. The blend is a true representation of Washington’s unique terroir, showcasing the depth and complexity of the region’s grapes.
Tasting Notes
Initial aromas of dark cherries lead to a palate bursting with beautiful richness and texture. This is attributed to our native fermentation techniques; fine-grained tannins make it approachable while young and for years after. The mouthfeel has more fruit and gentle spice from the French oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon shows nicely, and the finish showcases that dusty terroir from Taylor Mag Vineyard on Red Mountain. It’s a perfect pairing with your favorite meals and for enjoying with friends and family.
